What is longevity?

Longevity refers to the ability to live longer and is a field of science that explores how people can live longer, healthier lives. The emphasis here is on "healthy." This means being able to live one's lifespan in the best possible health and vitality.

It therefore concerns processes deep within the cell, which, according to the latest scientific findings, can be identified, determined, and, in some cases, positively influenced.

The earlier belief that everything that happens in and to us is genetically predetermined is only partially true. A far greater proportion of cell function is a complex system that can be influenced by our behavior, our diet, our environment, our mental state, and our interactions with others.

How does it work?

Body and soul need care. This comes both from wellness therapies such as massages, baths, and general spa treatments, and from medical care.

This involves a variety of approaches:

Exercise tailored to individual abilities; nutrition that supports the cells' daily detoxification processes and provides a balanced intake of trace elements, vitamins, nucleotides, amino acids, and fatty acids; relaxation phases, which can also include active outdoor activities utilizing healthy local resources such as water and peat; and training the body's adaptive responses through various stimuli.

Information

It is now possible to measure the extent to which you have already aged prematurely and what is needed to slow down the process, improve your energy levels, and move closer to the goal of longevity.

Both instrumental devices and laboratory tests can be used to determine these factors and provide guidance for appropriate further treatment, which ideally should be continued at home after a short course of treatment.

The hotel, in cooperation with Longevity Bayern, offers a comprehensive 8-day program on this topic.

Interview Set "LONGEVITY at the Park Hotel"

Here's a summary of the most important questions:
What exactly does longevity mean – and why is it such a big topic right now?
Longevity simply means "aging healthily." It's not just about living longer, but about ensuring those years are also fulfilling and vibrant. Research shows that we have more influence on this than previously thought – through lifestyle, diet, exercise, and mental health.
What makes the new longevity program at the Park Hotel so special?
We combine the best of wellness and modern medicine – individually tailored to each person. We begin with thorough analyses and then offer a customized week of exercise, therapy, nutrition, infusions, consultations, and plenty of relaxation. All based on the latest findings in cell research.
What exactly happens during a longevity week?
The day begins with exercise, followed by breakfast with experts, then group sessions on topics such as cell health or epigenetics. This is followed by therapeutic treatments, infusions, consultations with a doctor and psychologist – and relaxing rituals in the evening. All within a supportive group setting.
What exactly is measured – and does it hurt?
Don't worry – all tests are painless. We measure, among other things, your cell metabolism, biological age, stress level, and autonomic regulation. This results in a personal health profile that forms the basis for your Longevity Week.
Is this only for people with health problems or also for healthy individuals?
Quite simply: it's for everyone. Those with health problems benefit specifically. Those who are healthy can do a lot for prevention and vitality. It's about quality of life – today and in the future.
What does cell research have to do with my everyday life?
A great deal! Our cells are the foundation of everything – and they age when they are stressed. Today we know how to positively influence cellular aging: through nutrition, sleep, exercise, and stress management. This is precisely where we come in.
Why is the combination of medicine and wellness so effective?
Because we see the human being holistically: body, mind, and soul belong together. Medicine provides us with precise data – wellness gives the body regeneration. Together, the two have a lasting effect.
How individualized is the program really?
Completely individualized. No two days are the same, no two guests receive the same program. We pay close attention: What do your cells need, what is your life situation, what makes you feel good – and everything is tailored accordingly.
Is psychological support also offered?
Yes – that's part of it too. Many people carry worries, fears, or stress. Conversations with our psychologist help to let go of burdens and gain new perspectives.
Personally, would you do such a program yourself?
Absolutely. I love the idea of going through life with more energy – vital, clear-headed, resilient. And if it means we can enjoy more good years – why not?
